I hear that (at least for the iphone) that the people who hack their Ipod or the people who created the mods will have legal action against them, and the ipod or iphone will freeze when you update it with the latest updates if mods are on it. Is that true? What are people who want to jailbreak their ipod going to do?

Restore + get update + wait for next jailbreak.

i don't have a link, but a friend of mine who has the Iphone told me on facebook that the next update coming out for the iphone will freeze it if it has third party apps on it, and he said that apple is taking legal action against those who create the mods if apple finds them. I don't know why they would care, i mean its your Ipod once you've bought it, but thats just what I heard.

Thanks i have one more question lol so ok it voids the warranty and something

later on is then wrong with it if you restore it and then send it to them to have

it fixed/replaced there is no way when they get it after you jailbreaking it and

then restoring it that you did go on and jailbreak it if that makes any sense?

yes, i guess thats true, but wouldn't it be a pain to have to keep restoring it everytime they come out with a new update you want to update your ipod touch with? unless people just keep coming up with "easy to do" jailbreaks for every new update.
