Well, once again I found Zibri and had a little conversation with him about the jailbreak problem with most 16 and 32 gb ipods.
iGuy is me and Zibri is Zibri (the creator of ZiPhone)

Once again. Sorry if my English sucks.

[21:55] iGuy: Hi Zibri. Remember me? I just want to know if you has got the time to look at the zitouch project? We are alot of people who are very excited about that.
[21:57] Zibri: hold it i got a 16gb iPhone today... I will try to find a touch
[21:57] Zibri: it should not be difficult to solve that
    [21:58] Zibri: i don't even have a friend here with a touch
    [21:58] Zibri: oh wait
    [21:58] Zibri: brb
[21:58] iGuy: Okay Zibri. Good to know you are working on it
    [22:00] iGuy:

[22:00] Zibri: no i am not yet
[22:00] iGuy: But soon you will be? or?
    [22:00] Zibri: but i registered zitouch.org
[22:00] iGuy: Yeah I know. That rocks!
[22:01] Zibri: but maybe i will include functionality directly in ziphone
[22:01] Zibri: i have yet to see that
    [22:01] Zibri: anyhow
[22:01] Zibri: ziphone fails only with itouch that upgraded (even once) to 113
[22:01] Zibri: not a memory problem
    [22:01] Zibri: different boot
[22:02] iGuy: But how can it be that at lot of people with 8 GB got it working including myself
[22:06] iGuy: Can you describe your knowledge more detailed?
    [22:08] Zibri: 8gb?
    [22:08] Zibri: even with 113 ?
[22:11] iGuy: I have 8 GB Touch and i upgraded the firmware to 1.1.3. When i run ziphone and try to jailbreak it is going perfectly
    [22:11] Zibri: hmm interesting
[22:12] Zibri: i have to analyze 113 firmware
[22:12] iGuy: but alot of users with 16 and 32 GB get this error
    [22:12] iGuy: BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0
[22:12] Zibri: because i think they upgrade the bootblock (or change some addresses) for the big brother
[22:12] Zibri: that "error" only means this: RAMDISK NOT FOUND
    [22:12] Zibri: md0 = ramdisk
[22:13] iGuy: Okay that was also what I thougt
    [22:13] Zibri: disk0 = ssd
[22:13] Zibri: it's just the kernel that panics because it can't find the boot device
    [22:13] iGuy: Yes.
[22:14] iGuy: But I can't understand why you don't think its a problem with the among of space on the device!?
    [22:16] Zibri: nope
[22:16] Zibri: ramdisk is loaded in RAM
    [22:16] Zibri: not SSD
[22:18] iGuy: Okay. That cleares some things out. But what is causing the problems then?! What is different from my iPod 8GB that works perfect with ziphone and the other ipods that have problems?!
    [22:19] Zibri: i don't yet know

I saw that 1.1.4 was actually a hoax and they aplogized to Apple for causing some sort of issues.

Ah, I knew that that 1.1.4 was BS. Thanks for proving that kid wrong.

    +1 rep

And, really, all that apple could do to patch ZiPhone would be to change the memory address or bootloader or something...

    Decrypt the ramdisk, then:
    cat /etc/fstab

    There's your problem, I think.

I can confirm that 1.1.4 is a hoax in the way that it hasn't been confirmed

    and i quote:

Now, I think we can all agree that things are going to be a lot different when the SDK comes out and I can bet that along with the SDK will be a new firmware with patched exploits (how many does 1.1.3 have, like 3?) and larger support for nikita. I think that 1.1.3 was sort of a hint, or even a test of application deployment from iTunes by Apple and so far I think it has went well for them, now perhaps in 1.1.4 they could take some ideas from installer.app and include an application downloader in the Wifi music store.... just a thought. But if you guys think about it, 1.1.3 isn't exactly gold master for the SDK. I'm waiting for 1.1.4 or maybe this v2 thing I have heard about that might include some flash support....

This is disheartening news. If the image is loaded to a Ramdisk, then the SSD theory is out the window, and the problem looks more complicated than simply correctly mapping the SSD addresses.

Based on the above, I don't think a jailbreak for the 16 gb and 32gb touch will come out any time soon.
