when trying to go to 2.0.
I tried to winpwn 1.1.4 cause I couldn't get DFU to work. And it failed so now my ipod won't turn on or go into recovery mode. But when I try DFU mode it flashes a white screen and if during that time I double click a ipsw it starts a restore. It goes to the normal apple boot screen with a SWOD on the bottom then crashes to an error 1601.

So what can I do to fix it?

Im not trying to install custom firmware.
Just any sort of recovery. and I can't get into real DFU mode.
And I can't turn it on at all, only get into this partial dfu mode.

If you can't turn on iPod, hold sleep and home for about ten seconds and eventually it will reboot with the last firmware you had on it. I had the same problem.

    Hope this helps

Does not work. And don't you think I tried that?

Only this that works on the ipod is a partial DFU mode.

Can you ssh? I think i had your problem, xept I could SSH into my filesystems....
If you can, While, ipod is still off, hold home, and plug her in to itunes. Hold it there. Then, restore to any non-custom firmware. Then put it into DFU using iLiberty or whatever. Install custom firmware.

i had the same exact thing happen to me
heres how i fixed it (the same way i told you on your many other threads)
    1 pwn your iTunes (7.7.1)
2 put your ipod into recovery mode (not dfu, just recovery, with the itunes logo)
    3 restore to regular 2.0 (build 5A347)
3 now DFU will work perfectly
4 restore with your custom firmware

next time please dont make 11 threads for your one problem
    and yes, i counted
