    I use windows XP.

I am trying to do the following

accessing internet on iPhone using my laptop internet connection (which is through cable). Anyone know where I can find a good tutorial?

I've googled for ones but none seem to work.

I have it set up using my dell wireless card's built in utility which is alot easier than using Windows Wireless configuration tool. Anyhow, the key word here is "ad-hoc" just google a tutorial on how to set up an ad-hoc network.

    It's simple.

    1) Set up an Ad Hoc network and connect to it. (Will not be browsing yet after this step.)
    2) Start > Run
    3) type nslookup
    4) Type that number into the dns of the ipod

    Hope that helps!

    under dhcp, bootp or static?

You can specify proxy setting in the WiFi connection manager in settings

It doesn't work. I've tried everything. I officially give up.
