    So, I was looking around because I wanna get a new Laptop for Christmas or before... I looked at two I was thinking about at WalMart, I'll give the links in a little bit...Any advise or choices for a good one? I'll mostly be using it for Music, Movies, Web browsing, Photoshop, and games. I have at least 5,000 songs, and at least 600 movies. Plus Photoshop, iTunes, games, ETC. So I would need a pretty big hard drive. But below $1,000, if possible.

    Links;

    1.) http://www.walmart.com/Toshiba-Satellite-Laptop-A505D-S695/ip/11082488

    2.) http://www.walmart.com/HP-Pavilion-17-AMD-Dual/ip/11038077

    The 1ST link I was REALLY thinking about, but if someone gives me a better choice I may change my mind.

    2 rules of buying laptops:
    1. Never buy HP
    2. Toshiba makes the best non-mac laptops, period

    Wooooo! Haha, I knew mine would be better. The 2ND choice is actually what my mom will like (For me tho.) I know a lot of people that own HPs, what is the reason not too buy them?

    HP, by far, makes the worst quality, worst speed, worst bang-for-buck and worst crapware of any laptop manufacturer.

    Toshiba/Dell if you *Have* to get a PC, . wouldn't rule out Acer also. Not that Compac is owned by HP, and is even worse. I have yet to see a fully functional compac laptop.

    Acer is actually really decent. I'd highly recommend as far as PCs go

    Forgot too mention, I will NOT go with Dell. I had BAD experiences with them before, I sold my laptop about a month after getting it because of all the problems with it, and they wouldn't help. For my desktops, I've had Compaq, and have it again for this one. Pretty okay IMO. My older Compaq got struck by lighting (Which they don't cover.) But the guy that came too my house fixed it, and put it down as something else. He didn't mention anything about getting stuck by lighting. So I've had a good couple of years with them.
