kudos to whoever can figure this out

    this has been bothering me ever since i got a ipod. at my school there is a router when i enter the password to get in i will get full bars or waves...watever, anyway when i go to the blue arrow next to the network it doesnt hav a router or dns number, so i cant get online. but yet my friend w/ a palmpilot can get on...wtf!

    u dont click the blue arrow u just click the bar and if it is locked u have to type in the wep key from the router

    maybe your school has MAC filtering enabled and your friend has spoofed his MAC address on his palmpilot.

    If you have to use a WEP key it wont show you the info.
