Wait, what is the point of this?
What about all of the developers who rely on a jailbroken system?
They have to wait for 3.0 final to fix their applications (after the jailbreak is already public, mind you), so a small amount of applications are available initially?
Like the OP said, a jailbreak should be fairly straightforward, just one small hurdle to get over and the patches are pretty much standard. The devteam (and chronic) just aren't interested in it because 3.0 is not ready for production yet.
There are much better things to work on, say a permanent 3g unlock would be one of them =)
unless you plan to download it yourself and put together a new quickpwn by yourself, it's probably better to wait, the official release can still probably be changed slightly anyway, better to just wait before striking
As usual, this is another way of saying "Do not update until the Jailbreak is released". And to be frank, I agree. Betas are not good anyway, and I learned that lesson from the 2.0 beta...
Summer = iPhone THIRDGEN ( not 3G )
So yeah its already coming with it , maybe its because of the new iPhone releasing in June
