iOS 4.0 kill all multitasked apps

    is there a way to simply kill all the apps that are running in the background at once instead of manually hitting the minus button?

    it could probably be integrated into sbsettings, kinda like free mem, or someone could make it work with activator, so like a triple press of the home button on the springboard could do it

    There's an app for that. It's called "Remove Recents" in cydia.

    Respringing your device appears to clear the list and end the process.

    i want something so u can just hold home button for so long and it kills 'em is it possible?

    No, remove recents just removes the apps that don't support multitasking from the multitasking bar.
    jack rules32 asked if there is a button that removes all the quit all the apps in the background, even those that support mutitasking.
