I'm thinking of installing kate. I'm wary though because I had caterpillar installed (it was 1.1 I think) and it completely froze my ipod (could ue the pringboard, but nothing else) untill I did like 7 hard resets and uninstalled the app. that lead to an unstable system which was eventually killed by nother app.

my point is I want to know how stable the new version of kate is before I install it.

that sucks- well unless they've completely changed their framework around I know it will work on my ipod, I'm just worried it will mess it up.

10% chance of it installing correctly.

Just make sure you have a Respring app on the front screen...

Like Killboard, or... Respring, something that you dont have to press something else in the app to Respring.

Or make sure you have SSH ready, killall Springboard.

When you install kate, and reboot your iPod, you cant use apps, like if the touch screen has stopped working.

But if you respring, everything is back to normal! Yay!

From what i know, it does change some system files, but i think you can just uninstall Kate and it should be back to normal.
