    I have an itouch but like how the iphone firmware looks and runs. lol. If i "pwn" my ipod using winpwn as soon as it gets released. can i in term flash iphone firmware to my ipod? but use ziphone or winpwn to unlock and activate it because it doesn not have a sim obviously?

    Umm... The iPod Touch and iPhone use the same Firmware. They are just modified to suit the Hardware they work on.

    You cannot use the iPhone firmware on the iPod Touch. Even if it is Pwned.

    I've tried. It does not work like that.

    You can restore with it and open the apps like Phone, but they do nothing but make noise (through headphones) and SMS does not send... It's as if you're on a disconnected iPhone in a way.

    But DJ Xander? can i physically put it on my ipod? and have it retain wifi abilities?

    You cannot restore iPhone firmware to the iPod Touch.

    Did you not read? I've tried it. AND I HAVE A PWNED iPod.

    Well with pwnage you can't run iPhone software, but NateTrues soft upgrade to 1.1.3 used the iPhone firmware. But that was a mess.

    So teslanaut what happened? it just wouldnt install or it was a mess? just wondering and i do belive you.

    iTunes gives you an Error message and you cannot install. I've tried 5 Times.
