Just upgraded from a jailbroken 1.1.1 to firmware 1.1.4

    My computer won't recognize my Ipod anymore and I'm trying to add the 5 apps and music/videos and it won't pop up on my computer did anyone else experience this?

    Did you do any symlinks? Restore to 1.1.4 and rebreak. Don't mess with /private/var/mobile it now holds all music and video plus the files that let iTunes recognize your iPod.

    You misunderstood, I had a jailbroken 1.1.1 got tired of it and just decided to upgrade to 1.1.4 no jailbreak or anything and now my computer won't recognize it

    Restart your computer, and/or try a different USB port.

    I've tried both the computers in my house and it can't connect to either

    if you didn't jailbreak then let apple fix it for you.

    Restore before you send it in. If you just did an upgrade, it can leave traces of a jailbreak.

    how do i restore it if i can't even sync it with my computer

    Force it into restore mode by holding the top button and the home button for around 10 seconds then when you see the apple logo fade out then come back release the home button and the restore logo will come up. It will then connect to your computer.

    I don't even understand why it's doing this, I hear the noise in my computer when i plug it in and then it just doesn't show up in my itunes, oh and to the guy who said force it into restore I tried and it still won't show up on my computer
    and it shows that it's charging on the ipod
