So, I obviously have an iPod Touch (1st Gen), and will be buying 3.0 in the next 10 minutes. My mum, however, just got an iPod Touch about 3 weeks ago and I just wanted to make sure that when I buy the firmware, she can use it as well as myself. I know, probably a dumb question but I just want to make sure

Yes she can, as long as you and her use the same itune account then you can share the update.

Ummm, if she has the 2nd generation, and you have the first, it won't work. FeelFlames had a point.

Well, if she has a different device, it won't even let you install it.

Unless that bug is still up with iTunes where it just skips the purchase process.

But I doubt that it is still doing that, contact Apple, and ask them yourself.
