    cause the hardware is different in the 2g so it doesn't know how to get past the new bootroom

    Because I like to say no.

    Real reason: If that could happen everybody have a downgraded iPod touch 2G and everybody would have a jailbroken iPod touch 2G.

    lol nope. You can't because teh 1st gen and teh 2nd gen have diffrent processors. Same reason you can't us quickpwn for you 2g
