is it just me or does the ipod touch (8gb particularly) seem a bit overpriced now that the 3G has been released?

cause, both the 8gbs touch + phone were 299.99 but apple lowered the price of their new item but they can cut back on the touch? im actually waiting to buy the touch cause i want a price drop.

and not to sound like a bunch of greedy little b*tches but what do ya' say, price drop necessary?

I don't think a price drop is necessary since the holiday season is coming.

Why drop prices when you could bring in something new....

The iPhone 3G is subsidized by the carriers. I doubt they'll be releasing a new iPod touch. If they do, it'll just be capacity increase. They'll phase out the 8gb and bring in a 64gb model. Thats my guess ^.^

something is going to happen to the touch real soon i'd guess

    something like
    8 gig>16gig
    16gig>32 gig
    32 gig>64 gig
