just set up cydia, what next?

I have just jailbroken my iPhone. What are the must have stuff?

    top 5:

    1. SBSettings - Move your important toggles directly into springboard where they are always available instantly even while other apps are running.
    2. WinterBoard - Provides hooks that let graphics artists safely and simply theme almost anything in Apple's OS.
    3. FontSwap - Lets you swap your system font.
    4. OpenSSH - Secure remote access between machines.
    5. iFile - File manager and viewer running under user root. It allows fast navigation through the iPhone file system. You can directly view files of various types e.g movies, sounds, text, HTML, Microsoft types, PDF files and various compressed formats.
    so far:

    • iFile
    • Pocket Touch
    • CyDelete
    • Locktopus
    • Backgrounder
    • Activator
    • QuickReply SMS
    • Notified (Pro)
    • Terminal
    • BackBoard

    anything else?

    - Locktopus - Lock applications
    - Backgrounder - Run applications in the background
    - Activator - A bunch of different ways to activate different applications

I would check out QuickReply SMS and Notified (Pro), both available in the Cydia Store. Though multitasking makes the former less crucial, its seamless integration makes it worthwhile.

The two applications are called 'QuickReply SMS' and 'Notified Pro', lol.

And, if you want a full featured SMS application, then try out BiteSMS. You have a trial period, and then you can choose to buy a license for $8.99 (£5.95).

backboard is a little bit like winterboard. lets you change/install your themes. but backboard doesn't supply the themes. you have to download them from cydia first.
