    Can't wait!

One thing though, does this device ship with the latest OS version or will I need to upgrade?

What should I be doing first other than charging?

    Thanks.

It will probably ship with 2.2.1, you'll be able to upgrade to 3.0 when it comes out in the Summer, June, perhaps..

Well I say,(1)take it home,(2)jailbreak it (3)stick around here and learn and(4)enjoy it.One word of warning though, it is addictive.

I should JB it already? lol. You guys have provided much info and I appreciate it. Is the upgrade to 3.0 free?

Would anyone happen to know the Best Buy prp prices?

Don't know if the upgrade is free for recent purchases, kind of doubt it. You can fully enjoy the Touch after it is jailbroke. It's like a car, it is stripped down when you first get it. You need to modify it for it to be personal and one of a kind..

The upgrade to 3.0 will cost $9.99, I think it's worth the features though.

And jailbreaking does get more functionality out of your iPod, however, you're prone to more problems, lagging, et cetera.

Yeh, it voids your warranty and will burn a hole in your pocket (not..) but it is worth it, as long as you are sensible and follow guides and learn ....that way you will not stuff your iPod.

jailbreaking DOES void your warranty technically. but really... no it doesnt. just restore to factory 2.2.1 through itunes if you ever need to use your warranty
