just jailbroke ipod 2.2 one quick question

    i understand what the installer is and how to use it, but what is cydia?

    It is another installer. It seems more stable. most people prefer it. I jailbroke today my Ipod touch too, but WIFI disconnected very often, so I restore and I am staying without jailbreaking. I hope yours works better.

    is that why there are like 5 apps in the installer?

    Yes, poof away Installer with Bossprefs (found in Cydia) & install Winterboard from Cydia as well! Make sure to download some sources in the repositories section on Cydia so you get more apps, themes, roms, etc...Use the search function & find the Ultimate sources list for 2.2 by wcdeo

    i just downloaded the halo theme from cydia, the themes(summerboard) section and it didnt show in my winterboard. why? and does bossprefs just hide them or delete them?

    Poof is an app within Bossprefs, you'll see it on the dock when you open Bossprefs, it only hides the apps you don't want to see on your springboard!
    The halo theme may have not downloaded correctly! Check your packages in Cydia & make sure it's installed. If it is & you don't see it in Winterboard, just remove it in Cydia & reinstall it, it might help!
