I just finished jailbreaking my touch 3rd hen 8gb model.
It's really smooth and worth the jailbreak. Multitasking and wallpaper unlocked. Thanks to the guys that helped me on my older thread (still new). Though the keyboard does lag really bad on cydia all the time but ithimk it's normal. Also exiting entering homescreen lags if you have wall paper on but does anyone know how that can be stopped? Also willy batt life decrease? Ram also doesn't seem a problem. Anyways thanks to those who helped me

Aren't the shadows normal. I could live with the open close lag not important. Anyways jailbreaking doesn't slow ur performance or battery down right? Oh should I update things in cydia?

depends on how you use it so i wont say no, but most likely no for you and yes go update things

no you have to delete the shadows to improve performance

In springboard.app find all the files at the bottom of the directory that start with wallpaper. Save them somewhere, then delete them from your device. The wallpapers should be much snappyer now

iOS4 also naturally decreases battery life by a lot. Don't forget to disable wifi when you're not using it!
