Guys I jailbroke my mc 8th 3rd gen touch and it was smooth. Walpaper and multitasking is on. But now for no reason it starts to lag and it gets worse. Is it the wallpaper?

It's probably because of that and the multitasking. Apple didn't let you have it for a reason. There is a theme thing that comes downloaded with iBlanks in Winterboard that gets rid of the shadow. It should speed your iPod up.

The shadow behind the icons. And what do you mean? I have never had any problems with them. BTW that thing that comes with iBlanks can probably be downloaded from Cydia by itself, I just haven't checked.

iPod touch 8gb 3G has the same RAM as the iPod touch 2G. Thats why you can't use multi tasking and custom wallpaper. You should just use winterboard for custom wallpaper and backgrounder to only multitask what you want.

It's a pain in the blank to remove iBlanks. And you can enable multitasking within winterboard?

I have a iPhone 3G and iOS 4 is laggy on it in general. With custom wallpaper enabled it is even worse.

The multitasking enables every time you go into an app that is capable of using it. Install Backgrounder from Cydia, enable 'Badges' (it will tell you which apps are backgrounded) and make the settings so that it only backgrounds if you enable it manually. And now you'll be able to disable apps that are backgrounded by holding down the home button, and enabling it the same way.
