Got it at Frys (the ipot, that is). Still in the box. I know, I know...why buy it then? Well, I have been hearing some great things about it, but once I open it, it is mine...no turning back.

Go BOSOX! (just got back from NYC and they would not appreciate that statement)

Apparently, according to Fry's, Apple has a year warranty and Fry's does not have a extended warranty for MP3 players, etc.

I think I will be looking around this forum for "newbie steps to using the iPot"...

I'm heading down to NYC this weekend. first Hartford, then The City, then back up to Hartford. At least you were in town when the weather was nice. It's supposed to be chilly this weekend up here.

are you worried that you will have screen issues (seeing as this has been the biggest bug)? Just run the software update, or get a new one from Apple. Other than that, this thing basically operates just like any other iPod, just plug it into iTunes, load some tunes, and you're off. Don't be scared, be excited!

So your saying that he should open the box, take it out and use, it, and then take it out of the box, and use it, then take it out of the box AGAIN? That's a waste of time
