Welcome to the forum? No desire to jailbreak 2.0.x?

LOL Well I'm a complete noob (as u can tell). Whats the advantages of having the 2.0 firmware than my current firmware? And also since my firmware is 1.1.5, is it possible to upgrade (for free

Anything is possible and with 2.0 you get the app store!

And download those applications for free I'm assuming?

Also I thought 2.0 cannot be jailbroken yet or something?

We don't discuss cracked apps and stuff here. You can get the free apps regardless. 2.0.2 is an easy jailbreak

2.0 is not free, downloading it illegally is pirating and isn't supported here.
Some applications in the AppStore are free, and some are pay.

Yes, firmware 2.0.X can be jailbroken, but there are some reports of it being unstable (but some have had a very smooth experience too).

The main benefit of 2.X firmware is that it has the AppStore, an online applications market that allows you to download applications but whether the applications are free or needs money, it depends on the developer themselves. Oh, and it has the Software Upgrade thing, a new calculator that could become a scientific one once turned horizontal but the main thing is still AppStore.

Some of the free AppStore apps are really neat such as TTR, Sol Free,CubeRunner, PhoneSaber. However, the new firmware isn't free and it cost 10 bucks.

It could easily be jailbroken by using QuickPwn. Some have reported errors and jailbreaking while others have had a smooth ride. Really depends on your luck!
