Many a time, I notice that my iPod touch system time is way off, then it is right again.

    This keeps happening randomly.

My theory is that when it is sometimes sleeping it stops or something, but that doesn't explain why the date is set back months...

I don't know. But, when I plug it into my computer, the time is correctly changed, sometimes.

Oh well. Not a big deal I guess. And my iPod isn't jailbroken.

Well, whenever you sync, the iPod updates it's clock with your computer's. Something might be messed up in ur iPod.

Well I haven't modified it, I have seen others with this problem though, maybe Apple needs to address a small bug, I don't know.

Ok, it only takes like 3 seconds to backup, so that might be the problem.

this happens because your ipod was plugged into your computer while your computer hibernated

all you should have to do is close out itunes and open it back up and then sync your ipod, if this doesnt work then restart your computer and sync your ipod
