So I just bought a used iPod Touch 2G (non-Jailbroken) from a friend and want to save the songs and apps on it to my PC. Is there a tutorial for this somewhere?

Right now, when I plug in the USB cable, I just see the iPod as a camera.

    Thanks,

    -Total Noob!

you cant add the songs from ur computer to itunes, well atleast not without a special program.
So yeah, you wont be able to transfer the songs/apps to ur itunes.
and if u do put songs from ur itunes to that ipod, ull loose all the songs that ur friend had on it.

Yes you can. I download songs from two different sites (paid for), and have them sent right to itunes without any special programs. I have also put CD's in my computer and downlaoded them straight to itunes.

iPod to pc is a different story.

thank you for this, pod to PC seems to be working! now the next thing on hand; how to transfer APPS to the computer. pod to PC doesn't do that, or at least thats what i think. if anyone could get me a program that take the apps and copies them to my computer or itunes, that would be awesome! thanks

I'm sorry but I don't think theres a software to transfer apps...
Even if there was, you wouldnt be able to transfer it to your iPod because it requires authorizing your PC.
