While searching craigslist i saw an interesting ad. "perfect ipod touch in working condition but is disabled, for parts"

I bought it cheap, no idea if it was stolen or not.

Never had one of these before, was going to get one countless times.

Anyway its disabled, and I've done some searching before i bought it on how to bypass it!

well holding down the power button brings up no slider function to turn the damm thing off... So i'm wondering if the power button is broke.

    so any ideas?

disabled... with a possibility of power button broke!

    helpo! helpo! thanks

yeah try a dfu restore and maybe you'll be lucky and the disability is just a software issue

well connecting to itunes its locked out due to passcode.

DFU is the hold home + power for 10 seconds and such right.

if thats the method you speak of. I've tried, but no logo is coming up, leading me to suspect the power button is broke.

    reply to what is disabled
"IPOD IS DISABLED" on the main screen. its locked out.

is there a way i can get into DFU mode without using the power button.
