I know this probably won't happen, but is there anyway users can control their own thread.
Example: like let's say i make a thread where everyone starts flaming and there's no mods on but i really want the thread closed, i could just go in and close the thread.
Once again just a suggestion, i know its never gonna happen.

Yeah but i mean this way it could reduce the number of people getting banned/infractions.

    I would also like this...

And so that when you close it, you can't re-open it.
    Only mods can.

OR, when you want to close it, the mods get a notification that a thread requests to be closed.

Then they can come and check why.. :/

    I don't think I made any sense.

I think it would be useful for example if you had a thread asking for help with something, and then you got an answer to it. Then you could just close the thread at your discretion. I'm not sure what Bobby would think about this because usually the mods to a good enough job of cleaning up things.

I kinda like this idea, but I don't think it'll happen.

I would also like this idea but the chances of this happening are next to nil. It might cause more work than it is intended to solve.

It would also help to add in a feature where when you choose to close your own thread, you have to fill out a form thing, kind of like the one that comes up when you report a post, telling the moderators why you closed the thread, so that they can review the situation when they're online and determine whether or not your reason was valid.

Agreed, although whether or not you'd like to close your own thread (depending on the circumstances) I think should be at your own advisory.

That creates even MORE work for Mods though, I'd discuss it with them first.

But I think this idea is brilliant, and I can't see any flaws in it. It would be very useful.
But, to be super-safe, maybe a 3-month join limit should be put in place, so you must have been a member for 3 months to be allowed this privilege.
