What is the state of jailbreaking on a Unibody MacBook Pro? Like is the problem still there? Because I don't want to screw up my iPod the way I did three months ago.

Leopard (OS 10.5 and up) generally doesn't work with Quickpwn. It doesn't let Quickpwn find the firmware bundle.

I'm not sure if that was what you meant, but since all new Macbooks have Leopard on them, that might be what you meant.

It worked fine on mine. Make sure you follow directions and install the proper file

Well, a while ago, like when I was doing my jailbreak, apparently became known that the UniBody MacBooks(Pros) did not work with DFU Mode. I don't know about now, maybe it fixed itself, but to my knowledge, it doesn't work.

Really? Because I tried to jailbreak my iPod Touch 1G back in November 2008, it just stayed loading and never became jailbroken and I had to restore so many times until I did it on my HP Laptop. I had 10.5.5 back then.

I am running a 24 in. iMac with OS 10.5.5. The last times that I've tried to jailbreak on it, Quickpwn does not find the firmware bundle and tells me to buy it (even though I had bought it). If I were you I would just stick to something safe and jailbreak on a friend's computer.
