Ok, so hear's the deal. Whenever I open App Store on my iPod touch, the first thing it does is asks me to enter my password. It doesn't really matter if I put it in or not but I don't recall the app store doing this before. There was a time when I was downloading a app, app store somehow crashed while I was downloading. Could that be it? Can I fix this without restoring my itouch? Btw, my iPod is 3rd gen, jailbroke, and running 3.1.2 firmware if that helps.

you need to sign it to download a app...then the app is then tied to your account

Sometimes the app store does ask for your password at random times. Just type in the password or hit cancel.

Just enter your password. For whatever reason the app store asks for my password at completely random times when browsing apps on my iPod Touch.
