    Alright, according to Inquisitr.com Apple sent out a sheet to resellers listing the prices of the new MacBooks.
    Could the extra 4 price points help make a new MacBook? (Highly unlikely, but possible)
    - 3 Price Points - Cheapest MacBook (Sub-$1000) ($799, $899, $999)
    - 3 Price Points - MacBook ($1199, $1349, $1499)
    - 3 Price Points - MacBook Pro ($1899, $2199, $2499)
    - 3 Price Points - MacBook Air ($1799, $2499, $3099

    Maybe...
    This post is 100% a guess. Apart from the quote, everything was just made up as a guess by me.

    I literally have no idea if those are right, but I have been hearing rumors about cheaper MacBooks.

    I hope they lower the price, that will make it easier to buy one when I'm off to college (Heck, these MacBooks that haven't even been announced will be outdated because of the pace Apple releases things

    )

    In an odd sense, I wish the price would remain high.
    Why? I'm not completely sure, they seem 'rare' to me, and if the price was lowered, many more people would have one, reducing the amount of specialty of a MacBook. (Yeah, sounds strange, but I can't word it any better).

    But, the economy is doing terrible right now, at least in the US, so I think it's better on Apple's part to lower their prices, it will defiantly attract more customers.

    I hope they remain high to actually. Although same as you i'm not sure why. I like how they are sort of "rare" in a sense. As well as saving up money for something awesome that you've really wanted for a while, then they lower the price, sure it's great, but what a waste of saving up money?

    Hmmm, I'd say pretty good price drops, lots of MacBook options.

    Just curious... what could they possibly do to make six different Macbook versions to sell? The cheapest one would have to be sh*tty or something. You very well could be correct in your predictions, but Apple has to be crazy to drop the hardware lower. Their Macbooks are already not THAT great with the current hardware. I've had a 3GHz desktop PC for quite some time now and their laptops aren't even up to that speed yet. I'm praying they don't downgrade.

    I don't think they'll downgrade. I think they'll take the current cheapest MacBook's hardware and make that the cheap one.
    (I don't really think what i posted the thread about will happen, it was just a guess. I think they'll stay the same models, with hardware upgrades.)
