Thought I would spread the word from modmyifone.com:

    http://www.modmyifone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24323

Please spread the word. These people are taking advantage of people hyped up about the new 1.1.3 firmware, and wrecking their Ipod's and Touch's. This kind of thing makes me wish I could deliver a face slap over the Internet (or worse). Is anyone working on such an application?

Blaze needs to remove this source from their sources. jmwiki.com is the source. Everyone needs to remove it. We need a sticky in every part of the forum about this. If people install this crap just think of the mess we will have here.

Alot of people will install this when 1.1.3 comes out. I can see the threads now.
"HELP! bricked my touch!", etc. posted over and over and over and over....... again.

    Put it in your sigs.

We really need to sticky this, remove the source from the source list, and even contact jmwiki.com. If we overflow them with enough emails from angry people, I think they'll get it.

Interesting. jmwiki.com must have been hacked or something. Checkout the whois:

    [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Domain Name: JMWIKI.COM
    Registrar: TUCOWS INC.
    Whois Server: whois.tucows.com
    Referral URL: http://domainhelp.opensrs.net
    Name Server: NS5.SOFTCOMCA.COM
    Name Server: NS6.SOFTCOMCA.COM
    Status: ok
    Updated Date: 03-apr-2007
    Creation Date: 03-apr-2007
    Expiration Date: 03-apr-2008

I seriously doubt TUCOWS would even have an iPhone repo, much less one that distributes malicious software.

EDIT: It appears it's just a domain registered through TUCOWS. Here's the whois from the TUCOWS registar:

honestly im surprised stuff like this didn't start happening sooner.

I've been careful with what i install as long as i've had my iPod. Mainly because it's hard to trust people in today's world.
