Jiggy Development Tutorial

    Alot of people have been wondering how to use the iPod touch/iPhone application Jiggy

    Here is a step by step tutorial on how to install and get started with Jiggy
    I will update it with examples and explainations of code.

    Step 1:
    Jailbreak your iPod touch/iPhone

    Step 2:
    Open Installer.app and go to source section

    Step 3:
    Press Edit and Add:

    Step 4:
    Click Done then Refresh

    Step 5:
    Go to Install section

    Step 6:
    Select Development section

    Step 7:
    Install Jiggy Runtime and Jiggy Application

    Jiggy Runtime allows you to run jiggy apps
    Jiggy lets you create your own

    Step 8:
    Exit to springboard and Open Jiggy

    Step 9:
    Set a Username and Password if you would like
    Default Username: Admin
    Default Password: jiggy

    Step 10:
    Open a browser on your computer and type in the IP Address given at the bottom

    Step 11:
    You are now in the Jiggy IDE congratulations!!!

    Now will start on the explaination of the Jiggy IDE

    Step 1:
    Click Create new Application

    Step 2:
    Under Title enter the name of your app (ex. iApp)

    Step 3:
    Under Identifier enter com . app

    Step 4:
    Enter in a description of your file

    Step 5:
    Enter Version, Author, and URL
    (all optional)

    Step 6:
    Choose a application or upload one of your own
    (Remember 60 x 60 pixels png file)

    Finally click save...

    Congratulations you have created your first iPod touch /iPhone application

    You can exit Jiggy and find your app on SpringBoard if you'd like...but it does nothing for now...

    Next edition of Jiggy tutorial will provide an explaination of how to make your first app

    All I did was get a blank app with my springboard background
    Soo excited, and thanks for all your work!

    Ive been having a play around, (i work with javascript in everday life), jiggy is neat,

    jiggy does have some flaws, such as, there is no UITable view to add items to, but me being me, spent a long time writing a new UITable for jiggy, (its now in the files section on google code) which works a treat

    Very useful, even though it is the basics it should still help beginners.

    very nice, i got hello world to print. for the rest who want to do this after youve made the app go back to the adress it gives you, click the + next to your app name on the left and click on *appname*.js. from then on the bottom of the code taht shows up paste in without quotes " {
    alert("Hello World!")
    }"

    The UITable function just got added so no complaints there just take a look at the forum link I posted.

    Sorry I haven't finished the tutorial yet, I have finals this week

    where is this UItable you speak of? i cannot find it

    i did not relise that it had been implemented, ive been wanting to use it for ages, now with sql, i need sumthing to print out results in, so has it actually been put into 0.21?

    i looked into docs and couldnt find anything
