Why the hell is iTunes so damn slow? I mean Apple knows how to do sh*t by now, why not make thier applications actually run quickly and not freeze up my whole system everytime the song changes:/

Anyone know anyway to make it faster and more ME-friendly? haha: )

Well free up space on your computer I guess, and also don't have alot of applications running while iTunes is running.

check for spyware and adware and viruses with a different utility than you are already running. Look for the highest rated of each and try those, such as NOD32

    Yes?

Seriously though, iTunes is just very poorly optimized. Since there's no real competition there is no real incentive for them to write it better.

I'm on a Dell DD2400 (I know I know). I've got 1GB Ram and 2 80G HDDs. I dont have any viruse/spyware/etc. I close everything/kill processes before using iTunes I doubt my system is the problem. iTunes is just porly optimized as dude up there said. I've also heard from other people that the larger the library gets the slower iTunes runs. Idk. Apple should step up their game.

iTunes on Windows is just terrifyingly crap. On OSX, it's perfect. I guess they didn't port it very well.
