If they are saying that the GNex will be the first with Jelly Bean, then I am starting to doubt the rumor of multiple Nexus phones.

I don't think that it would have been at I/O. While I too question that rumor, Nexus phones generally ship in the fall and not at I/O.

Good point, wasn't the last in December? and it's still too early to release 4.1, half the phones aren't even on 4.0 yet.

Late October for the GSM version, LTE was in early December.

And while I'd agree that that might be true, I don't really think that Google cares. They'll be shipping a tablet in a week or two, and their phone is the Galaxy Nexus. Both will be up to date. From their perspective, they've done their job by comitting the latest release to source: it's then up to OEMs to get on the ball.

Why is the Galaxy Nexus so cheap, $399?

It's been out for quite a while and android phones tend to drop drastically due to a high volume of releases.

Gnex is still a high end phone that preforms well and has great dev support.

Nah, it's because this is the developer phone. This is the device that Google wants developers to use, and the device that will get updates. It's more along the lines of Google pushing the price down as quickly as possible.

I love Android and all, but i find it ridiculous that they're going to announce a new version 4.0, while some devices are still stuck at 2.3
