I've hear the 2.1 jailbreak method so ardently celebrated in many threads at the moment causes apps to be installed very VERY slowly. Like 10 min per app. is this true?

if so, this method is wholly and completely useless.

10 minutes seems a bit much but possible. Its because of the older version of mobileinstallation.

The method that some have used uses the old MobileInstallation Framework from 2.0.2. That is why app installs are so slow.

Yeah the one that comes with the 2.1 firmware. But Its not possible to jailbreak properly using the new version. Or you can jailbreak but not have apps working. Dev team will sort this though.

    Its a proper jailbreak!

Just because you have to change one file to make something slower, doesnt mean that its not a good jailbreak.

Jailbreaking just means being able to write on the root, and get out of the /var/mobile/Libary jail thing...
