    What is SSH? What's its function?
    I think, I read somewhere 'Save your SSH before you JB' or something like that.
    Can someone put some light on this?

    Thanks

    SSH is when you want to go into your File System
    SHSH is your special signature so you can Downgrade.

    Actually SSH is to change things in the iDevice's file system, or to remove/add stuff in, only accessible through jailbreaking. People say to save your SHSH's which are used to downgrade but you can jailbreak first and then save them if you want but they are not necessary unless you want to downgrade in the future.

    SSH = iFile, etc...
    SHSH = Used to downgrade from future firmwares. (or to upgrade to old firmwares if you are on a really old one)

    It's SHSH (blobs). You can back them up through TinyUmbrella (It's an application for your PC, Mac, and I think Linux too

    ). Google search it. Plug in your iPod and use TinyUmbrella to backup your SHSH blobs.

    Everyone already explained what SSH is, so I'll just leave you with the information on TinyUmbrella. If you have trouble using it, do not hesitate to ask.
