    Hi,

i want to buy a new 16GB Ipod Touch. The June update (2.0) should be available pretty soon, so i am wondering if i can upgrade the original model without the January upgrade to 2.0 straight away.

Or do i have to buy both upgrades?

I am asking, because the original version (1.1.2?!) costs significantly less, than the one with the extra software (1.1.3?!).

    Thanks

    Chris

The 1.1.4 version with jan apps doesn't cost more. The old version isn't sold anymore.

If you have a device with originaly 1.1.2 you won't have the app pack when you upgrade to 2.0. You will have to buy it too

This is the most logic way of thinking. It might be different. But don't expect miracles.

There will be a charge for 2.0, so I'm presuming the upgrade will be included in the 2.0 FW.

i doubt that. because then people will complain that they paid $20 in january for something thats now $10 and even better.
    yknow how apple users are.
