I'm thinking about buying an iPhone. I have a 1st Generation Touch so I'm thinking I'll be more familiar with an iPhone than a Blackberry... besides, iPhones are way cool! Anyway, I was looking through eBay and I was wondering what is the difference between a Jailbroken and an Unlocked iPhone?... or is it the same thing? I'm a little confused because some say jailbroken and others unlocked... but I have no idea what those two mean.

    TIA.

jailbroken means it has cydia and/or icy (most likely cydia). unlocked means that you can use it with other GSM cell phone providers like tmobile.
