    Hi all,
I just used Redsn0w to JB my iPod yesterday, and absolutely was loving it.
All this love came to an end just a few short minutes ago while running Cydia.
The iPod locked up and I let it sit and sort itself out, but when I looked at it a few minutes later, the screen was off. I tried turning it on: Nothing. I tried resetting it: Nothing. I plugged it into my Mac: Nothing.
I am getting absolutely no response whatsoever...
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you tried to run the patch in terminal and boot it up again?

You realize you have to apply a patch every time it turns on don't you?

No, I haven't tried that, only because I haven't been getting a response. I'll do it now and let you know what i get...

Yes, but whenever this happened before it at least responded in some way. You're most likely right though.

Yeah, I'm not getting anything. My Mac doesn't detect the iPod.

Ok, now iTunes does detect it in Recovery Mode, but I don't get a white screen. Yes, I did unplug the cable for 10 seconds and plug it back in.

    Home + Power button

Hold Them BOTH Till you hear the Disconnect sound

Release Power, and continue to HOLD the [Hold] button till you hear the Reconnect sound.

that's DFU, from there, i dont know know what you wanna do.... but i would assume you could just the boot codes from there

Make sure it's in DFU mode not recovery, or the patch will not work.

How can I tell the difference? The screen shows nothing, which I know to be DFU, at least, this is what I think I know. Lol.

The way I tell the difference is that either my iTunes pops open, which it usually doesn't in recovery mode, and also when I type in the patch in the terminal it tells me if I'm in recovery or DFU mode. It's usually after you type in ./rslite
