    Hi There Everyone..
I Have Made A Stupid Mistake Today..

Please Register or Log in to view images

    And Thus,,
I Felt Leaving This Information For Others Not To Make The Same..
The Mistake Was That I Have An iPod 2G Running A Jailbroken Firmware 3.0 ..
I Saw The Update Firmware To 3.1.1 On iTunes And Felt Like Clicking The Button..
    So Anyhow,,
DON'T UPDATE YOUR JAILBROKEN iPod TO THE NEW FIRMWARE !!!!!!!!!
That's Because You Will Lose All Your Jailbroken Stuff !!
And The Sad Part Is That You Can't Go Back To Older Firmwares !!
As I Have Tried 2 Times With No Luck..
It Will Give You An Error Each Time..
And The iPod Will Freez On The "USB Cable & iTunes" Logo..
And You Have To Restore To Firmware 3.1.1 Again !!
So Just Watch Out And Keep Safe..

Yes you can go back to an older firmware. Use an older version of itunes, such as 8.1.1

no, in itunes 9, u cannot jailbreak, at all, it closes when u try which stops the jailbreak, and check your bin for your old firmware, itunes 9 puts it in there
