I'm having the same problem, just i think my problem is a hardware one.

Does the audio go on and off? (in the left, the right plays strong the whole time)

    Fix!!!

May sound stupid but do it this works with out spending any money!!! This will NOT reduce any sound, mono sterio all that stuff it will be exactly how it was before and u can still listen loud speaker!!

Rip a TINY piece of paper off somewhere,

Fold it, make it about 1cm long but not thick at all, now place halve into the earphone jack and leave the other halve out, now get the earphones and plug them into the jack with the paper, if it is to thick the earphones will not go in so dont force them to much, if the paper is the right size you can push the earphones in with the paper with a little bit of force.
finished, both of your earphones should work now!!

If your going to do this make sure you can get the paper out, there will be many questions from Apple if you need to get it removed...

Create a new thread explaining your problem in detail and someone will help you. Replying to a 2 year old thread won't help your issue get solved quicker. Also, pay attention to the dates before posting, this thread is no longer relevant so, make one that is.
