I've got a problem with my Ipod Touch 2g that I recently upgraded to the 3.0 firmware and then jailbroke. Basically, whenever I turn the ipod completely off, I am unable to turn it back on again. My computer won't recognize it and neither does itunes. The only way to get it working again is to put it in recovery mode and then restore. Now, if I don't turn it off, it works fine. I've gone through this BS a dozen times and am considering downgrading to 2.2.1 FW. Anybody know of a fix for this frustrating problem?

I know this happens with the beta firmwares.
Are you sure that you have the correct Official one?

    Hi,
contact Apple, you have still warranty.

Is the problem present after full DFU restore WITHOUT the jailbreak?

    So long,

I updated to 3.0 and jailbroke again, this time using a different computer running XP, and so far so good. I've turned off the ipod several times and left it off for an hour or more. It turns on and works perfectly. I originally used a machine running Vista to update and jailbreak. Has anyone heard of this being a problem?
