In the near future, all of us will have to return our ipods to get them a new battery. but here's the question, do they check if you jailbroke your ipod touch or no?

Maybe disable themes and everything that related to lock screen changes, so it'll look like un-jailbroken, then put password so if someone tries to unlock it and see if it's jailbroken or not he will have to restore it. Or maybe Apple put back door for unlock password locked iPod / iPhone without restore, go figure.

OK fine, but if your not an idiot and know what your doing, then you dont need to replace anything.

Just pay attention to your iPod and how long it lasts, when it starts shortening, restore to official firmware and get a new battery.

I'm pretty sure it gets shorter after every charge. However, this change is minimal, probably only twenty seconds lost for each charge. So basically the longer you have it, the shorter the battery life will be, but I don't think it will ever stop holding a charge. It will just get really short.
