I am going to buy the new 2.0 firmware from Apple,
I am on 1.1.4 Jailbroken using 7.6 iTunes
Do I need to restore in 7.6 to 1.1.4 and then update iTunes to 7.7, buy the firmware from iTunes and update?

Why not let him be nice to apple and pay for the firmware? Don't support/encourage piracy.

i heard somewhere that the free version of the 2.0 is a debug version which can make ipod/phones crash
and can i just update to 7.7 THEN restore or restore in 7.6 and update to 7.7

Update itunes first to avoid running into any problems.

So we can just do the update from itunes to 2.0 or would it be better to restore to 1.1.4 then update to 2.0. If I have this wrong let me know going to update tonight.

    thanks for the time
