I know i am not the only one with this issue. The jailbreak according to spirit was successful but i DIDNT install cydia and i tried about 2-3 times jailbreaking it again and again no luck. Any ideas on how to fix this?

EDIT: FIXED! DO a DFU restore and try jailbreaking again but disable your antivirus software as well

Not to sound dumb but you did check the next page of your springboard right? Cydia isn't put on the first page it is on the first available space on the second page and up.

    Other than that, no clue

I did a full restore and even after that no clue of cydia. I am 100% sure that cydia wasnt installed cause i even searched with spotlight as well. It didnt show up.

It wouldn't show up in Spotlight I think.

oh. But it has to be visible to the naked eye right? After the fresh restore and jailbreaking there was only 1 page. I can show you guys some proof but the ipod is currently syncing.
There was a another member on the forum as well who had this issue.

Did you have Cydia hidden before you did a restore?

e.g. I place Notes on the SBsettings dock, so the app will be hidden from my app menu. If I were to restore my iPtouch, notes will remain hidden.

I feel that the problem comes into play when the iDevice is run through Spirit a couple, if not, more than twice. Cydia should appear on the 2nd page of your apps menu. Otherwise, the official release thread has people with this same problem. Coincidentially, they have run Spirit more than once.

I did re run spirit just now i am not sure about how many times i did run in total most probably more than once but still no luck of getting cydia installed.

I managed to record a video clip of the whole issue.
