So I was traveling down the highway on my way to see Mika listening to some Chili Peppers bought off iTMS... "Pretty Little Ditty" ends and boom. iPod restarts twice just to end up showing that it's in restore mode....

Am I the first to experience this? I tried to search but a/ The search doesn't like me usually, says it's disabled yadda yadda and b/ I don't know what to call this, I haven't heard of it happening yet but who knows....

the reason it went into restore mode was because the ipod couldnt handle that awesome of a song, just rejailbreak it and try not to listen to such good music (no sarcasm intended, i love the chili peppers)
but seriously, ive never seen that happen.

    YES

    This Happened To Me Once..
I Was In School Playing Ttr. When The Song Ended My Ipod Had The "little Spiining Circle" And Restarded Itself. I Slid To Unlock Then It Turned Off Showing That "itunes And The Cable" I Contacted Apple And Told Them They Said That Jailbreaking Causes This Problem To 60% Of Ipods. I Couldnt Restore It So I Bought Another One

I'm claiming you didn't do the right thing..

Either holding POWER and HOME would force restore mode that COULD be restored

    or..

    you could have used iNdependence..

Maybe it really was bricked.. i DOUBT it.

This happened to me at work the other day, I was listening to it, stepped away for a minute and when I came back I got the dreaded Restore image. I just ran iBrickr to force it out of restore and it worked fine.
