I'm trying to jailbreak a freshly restored iPot running 1.1.1. Every time I try to install Appsnapp Safari quits and does nothing. I've let it sit for over 5 minutes and still nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

yeah, make sure you power it off entirely. If that doesn't work, there could be something wrong with appsnapp's server. Wait a few days... after that, you'll need someone smarter than me.

Also, check the firewall security settings on your wireless router. It might work if you lower them to Medium. (Check your router's manual to access you router's control panel)

My roommate just had this problem. Here's what I did:

    -Clear cache
    -Clear cookies
    -Clear history
-Turn off iPod Touch completely (slide to power off)
    -Turn back on
    -Navigate to jailbreakme.com

Worked fine for me! Good luck!

I tried turning my iPod to landscape and repeatedly pressing the home button. I guess it triggered something because it exited and started the jailbreak process.
