Will there ever be another jailbreak where you can simply go to a website and not even need to plug your iPod into a computer?
  2. Probaly not unless apple are dumb idiots like they were with 1.1.1

Most likely never. The jailbreaking process has become much more "advanced" now, and the Safari exploit that allowed this on firmware 1.1.1 is not present any more.

and plus to download files like you do music , apps ect. you would need a jailbroken app or the safari plug-in, which are only avalible through jailbraking

Because on earlier firmware versions, there were a lot more bugs and exploits present. Jailbreakme used a TIFF Exploit that was present in earlier versions of MobileSafari, but has been patched long ago.

What do you think all the new firmware upgrades were for? Besides adding new features, Apple fixed a lot of vulnerabilities, that jailbreaking processes used.
That's why it takes a while for a new jailbreak/pwn to be written for a new firmware, sometimes they are patched.

It's not just a matter of downloading files. It's a matter of gaining complete access to the iPhone/iPod's file system.

And the only way to download files off of MobileSafari is to jailbreak anyways, so yea. No safari download patch until you have access to the file system.
