Why does "most in the jailbreak community" want this to be released (as claimed in the article)? After all, ALL devices EXCEPT the iPad 2 already have an untethered jailbreak. I say keep it for iOS 5. This way on the first day of iOS 5 release, we can have a jailbreak. @iPad 2 users, before you start hating. I too am sporting no jailbreak due to the fact that I am running iOS 5b1 on a Window computer (there are legitimate ways to be an iOS dev on pc, so lets no go there). With that said, I too am shooting myself in the foot with my above statement. However, its better to save an exploit that can be used by many, rather than by a few.
I'm thinking that this might be an ipad2 jb not an ios5 jb. Again that is just my opinion nothing else. I think both dev teams are trying to be the first to jb the iPad and because there are already jb's for everything else it would seem the logical choice, chronic dev has stated they are very close to release(not sure if they dumped the bootrom or not) and now,maybe, the iPhone dev team may have a userland for it... Either way it could be cool for us ipad2 guys,that is IF my assumptions are correct.which they may not be.my two cents

Because the community always wants it as fast as they can have it, we all know that. It's the way people are.
This is for the iPad 2 latest firmware..how do I know..Musclenerd basically confirmed it on another board today with this post.. Really you don't have to look too far back in his timeline to put all the pieces together. (For example comex has already said all of that iPad2 4.3/4.3.1/4.3.2/4.3.3 data collection was for a jailbreak: Twitter / comex: @42395_skyline yeah ) That is what he posted..if Im allowed to post the web site he posted this on I will just wasn't sure if it was allowed or not
All I want is my iPad 2 jailbroken. I don't give a crap about iPhone 4 users. They can wait their turn if needed. iPad 2 users have waited 3 Months, so iPhone users can wait too.
I hope its for IOS 5 Ipad 2 users can wait a while longer, until everyone can be jailbroken at the same time
They are going to wait for iOS 5 to be released fully along with the iPhone 5 just so Apple can't patch it before the next gen. And that's what I hope they do. Listen buddy, nobody is entitled to a jailbreak. They own NOTHING to you, so they are allowed to release it when they want. If you do not like it, then gtfo and find your own exploit.
