    Im very new to ipod touch ive had it for a while but havent really explored it i have a 1st generation firmware 3.1.2 on it i was wondering how safe it is and can you wreck it and is it possible if you do wreck it if you can get it back to normal

    It's completely safe, you can't wreck it while jailbreaking. But you may mess it up messing around with it, but a simple DFU+restore would most likely fix it.

    Just download blackra1n (www.blackra1n.com), it's pretty straight forward. Plug in your iPod, run blackra1n and press the only button in the program, 'make it ra1n'.

    Hmm, 30 seconds, including reboot. Max 1 minute.

    ok cause i plugged it in and blackrain is saying running and my ipod shows plug into itunes and its been a couple minutes
