This should be pretty self-explanatory... the firmware I'm using with redsn0w is iPod2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw which I believe is the right one... according to my iTouch the current firmware is 3.0 (7A341). I remember having a similar problem before with an earlier version of redsn0w and the 2.2.1 firmware, but I can't remember how I got past it.

    OS: OS X 10.5.7
    Processor: PPC

Where do I go from here? (to be clear my iPod still starts up and works just like it should) My problem is that it won't go past the first reboot, it says Loading first stage or something like that, then Waiting for reboot, and then it just sits there...

Try another version of redsn0w, like 0.71.

I got this figured out, what I had to do was unplug the USB from the computer during Waiting for reboot and plug it back in. Thanks anyways.

Yup that does it .... But if it doesnt work...then just redo the jailbreak and it will work on the second time.

i'm sorry, but i don't believe you when you say "didn't do DFU mode right" unless you mean they went into recovery mode/weren't in DFU mode in the first place, because if they got into DFU mode but it screwed up afterwards its not a problem with getting into DFU mode

anyways, i also have had this problem and this is why i really wish the dev team would also release the bspatches for it since i can get jailbreak manually, and prefer to.
