Jailbreaking on Ubuntu 8.10?

    Is it possible to jailbreak on Ubuntu 8.10?
    If so then i can jailbreak via my PS3 hehehe xD

    I don't think it is possible, because iTunes is unfortunately not available on Linux :/

    Technically, you could. You just have to use Terminal, and then run iTunes in WINE.

    Well what i was thinking was to copy the customfw.ipsw over from the PS3 to the PC and restore through iTunes there. im not sure the PS3's Ubuntu is that well-equipped to install Wine and iTunes haha

    I know you can jailbreak the 1st gen iPod touch with Xpwn. You dont need LibUSB or iRecovery for it (correct me if im wrong, i got this from some blog site.)

    iTunes on Linux does not support USB connection to iPod, so you can't. What you can do on linux, is prepare your iPod for the restore, with iRecovery compiled for Linux (I built a Linux version, you should also be able to), and then restore with iTunes on Windows.

    irecovery and xpwn are already available in Linux.

    Meh I just jailbroke on the PC. It would be pretty epic to jailbreak from a PS3 haha
